Diesel Blue is celebrated here as our Dog of the Season. Diesel just recently crossed the rainbow bridge and is now a much loved angel. He is much mourned by his mom and his friends. Diesel was a gorgeous Great Dane who lived in Richmond, VA. He loved to go for walks with his mom and spend time on his deck watching and listening to the birds. He even enjoyed watching TV. His Mom called him her "Babyman". She is very active in Great Dane rescue from kill shelters, or unsuitable living conditions. She transports them to foster homes or fosters them herself till they can find a forever home. We know one day Angel Diesel will send her a new companion who needs her love. We celebrate the life and memory of the handsome and much loved Diesel Blue.
Daylight is a 5 year old appendix Quarter Horse (appendix means he has thoroughbred blood too). He is a heart-stoppingly gorgeous red roan. He was named Daylight because he was born mid-day which is rare for horses. His mom says he was always mellow and sweet and cooperative. He spent the summer being trained in Dressage at my daughter Jessica's dressage training facility Traumhof and everyone just loved him. My daughter Sarah would happily take him and keep him in her apartment if she could. He sure is a love. His mom was going to to sell him but I hear she is keeping him as her own riding horse. I know I sure would.
Jason Hopper is a very handsome, and much loved Orange Marmalade kitty. He lives in Sierra Madre, California. He was found in a group of 23 strays at a neighbors house and his Dad just fell in love with him on sight and gave him a forever home, where he is happily an only cat. He loves to spend time with his Dad who he says is his soulmate. Jason is allergic to catnip so he can't play with the traditional cat toys. Jason and his Dad have a huge collection of music and for my birthday they made me a wonderful birthday CD of all my favorite songs. Some of them were really hard to find, too. Imagine having a CD with Tina Turner singing Proud Mary AND Gene Autry singing Don't Fence Me In. Can't beat that! Jason loves to sit with his Dad and listen to music and be scratched under the chin.
