Could this little dog possibly be any cuter? Buddy works with his mom at my daughter's Dressage Training barn, Traumhof. He is a 9 year old Chihuahua, Pomeranian, terrier mix and he is just the most devoted little dog. He works all day with his mom, training horses, moving horses around, feeding. I see her ride by on some enormous horse and here is tiny little Buddy trotting devotedly along behind her. He is just a delight to play with and have around. Here he wears his Baker blanket which matches the indoor blankets some of the big horses wear.
His name is Poco Surenuff and he is a 22 year old buckskin quarter horse who belongs to the wonderful caretakers of my two horses. They had always wanted a Poco Bueno line horse and one day the horse rescue people called and said they needed a temporary home for this poor soul who had fallen into a bad situation in life. They jumped at the chance to take him in and of course never let him go. He is all fat and sassy now and being well loved and cared for. I have always had a special place in my heart for buckskins and I always sigh longingly when I see his mistress riding him up my road. He came up to visit the other day so I could get pictures of him because i am doing a painting of him. My elderly girls were very excited to meet him and thought he was pretty cute. He sure qualifies as a dream horse in my book.
Can you even believe these cats!? This is Misty Blue and her brother Weeji Von Felis. They are Maine Coon cats and they are just so incredibly gorgeous. I will have a couple more pics of them in Simons blog. They live in Twinsburg, Ohio. Look at the tufts between his toes... their Meowm must spend hours brushing them. She was very excited to buy my Dreamer planter which reminded her of her kitties so she sent me these pictures. I just am so enamoured.
Their Mom says "Maine Coons like to play in water. I had to place their water bowl on a large boot tray because every time they drink water, they have to play in the water and splash with their paws. Most of the water gets splashed out - usually into the food bowl, which immediately turns soggy. So after a drink of water, not only are their paws soaking wet, but also the floor, food bowls, wall - anything near by."
